Nashville, TN (May 19, 2014): Radiation Business Solutions (RBS) announced that they have reached agreements with North Shore Radiation Therapy and the radiation oncologists of Newport Coast Radiation Oncology, PA, to provide billing and management services for their respective radiation oncology programs.

“We are pleased to be partnering with two such prestigious, renowned radiation oncology providers,” said Dan Moore, Chief Executive Officer of RBS. Adds RBS President Greg Merrill, “We welcome the opportunity to work with these highly regarded institutions and physicians, and to provide our assistance on administrative matters so that they can focus on doing what they do best – treating cancer patients.”

North Shore Radiation Therapy (NSRT) is a partnership between Dr. Richard Byrnes, radiation oncologist, and the North Shore-LIJ Health System. NSRT opened the first freestanding radiation therapy center on Long Island in 1988 and opened a second location, Cyberknife of Long Island, in 2008. As a provider for the North Shore-LIJ Cancer Institute, NSRT is part of a highly advanced network of expert cancer resources, and provides radiation oncology services to patients in Long Island, Queens, Manhattan and Staten Island. North Shore-LIJ treats more than 16,000 cancer patients a year, making it one of the largest cancer programs in the New York metropolitan area.

“We are very pleased to be working with the RBS team,” said Dr. Louis Potters, Co-Executive Director of the North Shore-LIJ Cancer Institute, and Chairman of Radiation Medicine at the health system. “As our radiation oncology services continue to grow in size and scope, we wanted a reputable partner with integrity, expertise and excellent service.”

Newport Coast Radiation Oncology, PA is one of the leading radiation oncology practices in Orange County, California. “We are focused on providing state-of-the-art cancer treatments to more than 100 patients each day,” said Dr. Craig Cox, Medical Director. “We have grown in size and complexity over the years to be in a position where we needed a billing company that specializes in meeting the needs of radiation oncologists. Partnering with Radiation Business Solutions for our billing needs will allow us to stay focused on innovative patient care.”

Radiation Business Solutions, headquartered in Joelton, Tennessee, provides billing and management services to both freestanding and hospital-based radiation oncology centers. With these new agreements, RBS now serves radiation oncology clients in nine states. RBS also owns and operates two freestanding radiation oncology centers in Alaska through the company’s development arm, RBS Evolution. For more information, please visit www.RadiationBusiness.com.
