Many who are associated with the Radiation Oncology field know the name Radiation Business Solutions and that we are a full service management company serving select radiation oncology clients from Alaska to Long Island. There are even those in the field that know we are the only group that purchases the Mosaiq (Impac) billing module. There are others who know we are the only group who with complete transparency in our net billing as evidenced by the way we give our physicians system access to see how their practice is being handled. Still even more know that RBS is an ASTRO Ambassador and the Sponsor of the ROI 5K. This last piece often provides me with a great chuckle when I introduce myself and say, “I’m Jeff Matlock with RBS…” and I get the response “Oh, RBS…the running company.” Well, I guess that is accurate. After all CEO Dan Moore and I are both members of the Marathon Maniacs. We love running races and hitting the trails as we travel to meet with our clients or attend industry events. Actually, many of RBS employees take advantage of the opportunity to hit the pavement during their lunch break with one of our team members logging over 5,000 miles last year. You might ask what all this running has to do with your service to the radiation oncology field. The answer is simple, we are a running company. We strive to run our personal best at all times so that we can increase our clients practice value so that they in turn can increase patient care. Aristotle said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.” At RBS our habit is running at peak performance and making sure our clients practice runs at its peak performance too.
